Browse the 'Members' Gallery' and enjoy the the wonderful range of images produced using coloured pencils.
If you you feel inspired to give it a try there is much helpful advice on the site, covering materials, techniques demos, and much more.

I was born and have lived in Mid Wales my whole life. It is here, in this spectacular rural countryside I find my inspiration. The landscape ranges from craggy mountainsides, and isolated small communities, to beautiful valleys abundant in woodland, streams, waterfalls and lakes; together with the wildlife of this area the range of subjects in all seasons is endless. The challenge for me is to create an image, which captures the light, movement and life of the subject so that it may be brought into and enjoyed in the home.

I grew up with pencils and paper always to hand and was encouraged to paint and draw by my parents. However, I pursued a career in Engineering, and have no formal art training. Many years later I gradually renewed my interest in art, starting with watercolours and then pastels. I enjoy pen and ink, and graphite work with a more realistic, detailed approach which is my natural style.

The desire to introduce more colour into my ink work took me through watercolour washes and then to coloured pencils. Through viewing coloured pencil art online I became aware of many very talented artists and the incredible results they achieve in this medium.
I joined the United Kingdom Coloured Pencil Society UKCPS in 2005 and gained signature status through acceptance of works into their juried open international exhibitions. My work has been exhibited at the Central Hall Westminster London, RBSA Birmingham and the RWA Bristol.

More recently I have rediscovered the brush, and the joy of mixing fluid colours on the palette and on the canvas. The results of this work can be viewed in the Oils and Watercolours Galleries.  I am currently enjoying dry media and concentrating on graphite drawings.

I am a founder member of the Rhayader Art Group and have regularly exhibited work in the locality.
